Sisters, now with flat colors
A-am I actually going to finish this?!?!
EDIT: I feel like I should let you all know these kids’ pronouns since not all of you know these characters!! They are (left to right) Alexi and Andrea, and they both prefer “she/her/her!” :3

Finally finished that picture of Rauk (EXILE)! I’m pretty happy with the result (considering I’m still getting the hang of “special effects”). :’3c

Question 5

Question 5 asked by sixteentons:

5.) Is [Alexi] lucky in love? Can you describe any of their past relationships?

Alexi is only 16 years old and has had two girlfriends, so I’d say that’s fairly lucky, if not par for the course! Although she is a lesbian living in a strongly heteronormative community, Alexi has never received any grief about it since most people assume she is simply a “perfectly normal straight boy.” Alexi herself has only recently (as of the beginning of the story) determined that the thoughts and feelings that have been troubling her most of her life are gender-related.

Her first relationship was in 1st grade, and that ended because it was the 1st grade. Her second relationship was two years prior to the beginning of our story, in 8th grade, with a well-liked girl named Cynthia. She was very pretty and exuberant, if a bit quirky, and she didn’t make fun of Alexi’s attention deficit issues like most kids did. Alexi stayed with her for about as long as she could withstand how sick Cynthia’s hyper-femininity made her feel - that was about 6 months. It isn’t quite accurate to say that Alexi was jealous of Cynthia; it was more so that Alexi was never totally allowed to be herself. The more masculine Alexi acted, the happier Cynthia seemed to be and the more docile she acted.

Neither kid could really put a name to what was happening, but they were essentially pushing and pulling one another into the gender roles they had been taught were theirs. Alexi’s understanding of that whole situation has only now begun to blossom. As of Issue 1, she has her eye on someone who she feels might just accept her for who she really is…. ;)
